Advantages: great offers
Disadvantages: other prices average
Staples is not a shop I have ever been into before today. To be honest, it is famed in Plymouth for being an ugly building and that's all I knew of it.
The Office Superstore sells everything you need for the office, mainly revolving around computer supplies. Printers, paper, desks, chairs, computers etc cna all be bought there.
First off, it has to be said that they occasionally have some really good offers. Today I bought a HP colour printer / copier / scanner for just £10 when purchased with a box of paper (£10 for 2500 A4 pieces). That is a phenomenal offer, and one that had me thinking they would be sold out. With that in mind, I rang to enquire. I was happy to find the phone answered within two rings, and the staff very helpful.
The store is laid out like a warehouse, all open plan and large room looming over you. It's fairly hard to find your way around, for example printers are all over the place. Still, a wander around doesn't take long, and there is plenty of aisle space for wheelchairs or the like.
The products are not particularly well priced unless you find an offer like I did. I would say they are similar to Argos, Comet and any other place you may care to buy from.
The staff on the til were very friendly, and informed me of the one piece missing from the printer (the USB cable). The lady asked if I wanted to join the club but accepted my first refusal, and was over all very friendly.
All in all, this is a nice enough store, certainly worth visiting when they have an offer on like today. However, the average prices don't make them any more competitive than other similar suppliers, so I can't say I will be going there again unless I see another amazing deal.
Summary: do it
