Advantages: well stocked, well priced
Disadvantages: none
I really like Superdrug as the layout is good and the shop is quite large, spacious and well-lit.
The staff are always pleasant and helpful and 9 times out of 10 I can usually find what I'm looking for at a price I'm happy with.
A bonus for me is that I buy a lot of stamps (as I sell on ebay) so I can pick up my toiletries at the same time as my postage stamps. TIP - buy your 1st class stamps at Superdrug when you see their 10% off offer in the window (usually the end of November or beginning of December) - great saving on christmas postage!
I buy basic stuff that we three females in our family need such as cotton pads, buds, shampoo and conditioner etc
Sometimes I buy things which are not on my list - especially if they are on offer or promotion/ end of line - these can come in really useful as little gifts.
Having 'shopped around' quite a lot on hair colourants, I have found that Superdrug are def. the cheapest on branded ones especially l'Oreal.
I look out for bargains - the branch we have near us have started a section of reduced -price household items and a few toys and out-of-seaon goods. These are well worth a look - eg if I can buy long shelf-life sun tan lotion in February - top brands - at less than half price, then I will buy!
It is always worth having a rummage in their dump-baskets - I have found great hair accessories and discounted beauty products tucked away..
A great store which I'll continue to use and recommend
Summary: an alternative to Boots
