I went SuperDrug Elephant & Castle London as it is the closest one to the university hall. I wanted to buy some earth-tone cosmetic for this summer. So I headed to the GOSH but found they are too shimmery. Then I headed to the RIMMEL counter. There is an eye shadow very high up on the shelf caught my eye. I am only 5ft2 tall, so I have to reach to get the tester to test the colour.

So I reached to the box of eye shadow. It looked like a tester and I put my finger on it to test it. Just the second after I tried the colour, your staff came in front of me saying I have to buy the product because I put my finger on it. He told me it was not a tester and it is the actual product. He said there was no tester for the product on the shelf that someone had took it off. But I said I didn't agree that I had to buy it, the label of the shadow was off and there was some scratches on the shadow.

The rude Superdrug staff told me it is a form of stealing if I didn't buy the product and he would call the security. I felt trapped because when I tested the colour he was behind me watching me touching the colour. In fact, he could have told me it was not a tester, and so on. But he didn't. Personally I don't mind buying a new one but not that scratched and tested one. I think many of the customers would have thought that was a tester. I didn't have much time to argue and get involve in the security, so I gave in. The rude staff kept watching me as if I was a thief all the way when I was choosing other products to get the 3 for 2 offer. I had to ask him to excuse himself and he said he doesn't need to excuse himself anywhere. End up I bought three of the RIMMEL products. BUT I THINK I WILL NOT EVER COME BACK TO BUY IN SUPERDRUG AGAIN because of this experience. Don't call me stealing!!
