Advantages: Always promotions, and prices tend to be quite good.

Disadvantages: Stores are as a rule smaller than other similiar chains.

I can't really say I'm a regular shopper, but if I need deoderant, styling products or anything of that kind of nature and I happen to be in town, I'll pop into superdrug, if for now other reason that it tends to be a lot cheaper than boots. They also always seem to have "Two for £3" and "Buy one get one free" promotions on, and the shops tend to be well managed and easy to navigate.

Superdrug is a big chain store with branches right across the United Kingdom. Each store stocks more than 10,000 products of the medical/beauty type and it's mission is to supply with public with up to the minute health and beauty products. There is a pharmacy at the back of superdrug branches where customers can obtain prescription medications.

I generally find the atmosphere in Superdrug stores to be quite nice, it is not a shop that is totally infested with chavs as I find with some highstreet clothes shops, but it does not have the preppy, "posher" atmosphere that I seem to sense when I am in boots. I always find that the staff are pleasant and willing to help, and that they generally have a good range of whatever it is I am looking for. My girlfriend also recommends superdrug for reasonably priced make up and cosmetics.

Aswell as health and beauty products, Superdrug also deals photographic film accessories, household accessories, drinks and snacks and newspapers and magazines, so it is a fairly well rounded store and is handy when you need to get something health related and also happen to fancy a drink when in town.

This shop is definately one of the British highstreet favourites, and I personally would recommend it above boots.

Summary: I frequently buy hair styling products from here, and will continue to do so.
