Advantages: Fasinating to browse, delicious products to buy!

Disadvantages: They weren't accepting cards, but I think this was a temporary hitch!

I've discovered that this company have a website to order from however, I am reviewing their retail stores. Well, to be precise thier Windsor retail store which I visited one miserable cold and wet day before christmas.

This store's windows just entice you to come in, Sweet Delight really is just that. The windows were filled with long tubes of gobstoppers, cute jars and bags of old fashioned sweets. A gorgeous display, that was both mouth watering and nostalgic. This store fitted in so well to Windor's beautiful old fashioned streets and shop fronts, I believe they are a relatively new company but this little shop looked like it had been there forever.

The shop is small but well laid out. Just rows of shelves to the ceiling of every old sweet you can think of. Humbugs, sherbert lemons, liquorice twists, cough candy, chocolate raisins, it's all there. They sell huge jars of these, like the ones they used to have behind the counters in sweet shops. These cost £20. The also do long tubes of gobstoppers and smarties, bags of sherbert and every types of sweet in a perfect gift size jar. These jars were on offer at 3 for £10 when I was in there and you get a lot of sweets for you money. As I say I went in before christmas and ended up buying 9 - one for each of my friends!! They went down very well too.

The staff in there were very nice, maybe as it because I was giving them nice big sale on a miserable day it was quite quiet in town. They bag your purchases up in black paper bags, just adding to the traditional feel of the shop. Unfortunately, they were not accepting credit cards, though they were very apologetic and said that would be fixed soon.

I was very happy with my purchases and enjoyed browsing this shop, the website looks good, though I have not used it. Hovever, I think this company's strength is such in their lovely shops, I would make the effort to visit rather that order from the web if I wanted to make purchases in the future.

Summary: I shouldn't keep finding these sweet shops...

I do like old style sweet shops, but it might be safer (and cheaper) to order online, where I can't smell the sweets!

We've got a shop a bit like this in Basingstoke, could spend a fortune in there. Been to Windsor a few times but can't remember seeing this shop
