Premium Review All your shopping needs under one roof (622 words)

I live about 20 miles away from Telford shopping center , and have been shopping there for as long as i can remember, every time i visit theres always a new shop being opened, and over the years it has continued to expand. My mum would take us there once every month to stock up on bits, and we'd all have our pocket and go off to spend it. The center itself has around 160 shops, so there is something to cater for everyones needs, they are mainly top name stores, but there are little boutiques as well. There are about five different car parks to chose from and each one lets you enter the center from different points, the main car park is situated at the front, and the ...  Read the complete review

Telford Shopping Centre: Nothing special (298 words)

I've lived in telford for 18 years and work in the Telford Shopping Centre, and it's ok, but nothing special A reasonable ammount of shops gives you a nice selection, but there's not enough diversity in my opinion, a HMV with no major competetor, several fashion shops, several mobile phone shops including for some reason 2 seperate carphone warehouse and GAME shops (why anyone needs two of the same brand i don't know). There are always empty spaces to let and i just don't feel theyre trying to gain any kind of change. Where are the electronics retailers? need more specialist shops! The parking is a complete joke, having to pay for a start is just ...  Read the complete review

Express Review on Telford Shopping Centre
by Keith Bowater - written on 09/05/08

Avoid Telford Town Centre like the plague. If you are thinking about a day out shopping, I should consider going to Merryhill or possibly Chester instead. The car parking fees are outrageous and there are not any free spaces to encourage you to want to travel there in the first place. Why should you have to pay to park your car for the privelage of shopping here, disgraceful.

The stink of McDonalds as you enter the centre is disgusting, the majority of people you see there makes you wonder whether you are visiting an open prison, Telford itself is such a rough place and has very little to offer, although the shopping centre is quite pleasant, but not so good it requires a day out there. As for the islands and all the traffic lights, it is an absolute nightmare. My advice is don't waste your time.

Premium Review Telford Shopping Centre: Glorified Roundabouts (1333 words)

Telford Town centre is (shock horror) situated in Telford, a new town that seems to consist of more roundabouts than soul. In fact Telford is so proud of it’s roundabouts they nearly all have names and one of them houses what is perhaps Telford’s finest asset, Telford Town Centre Shopping Centre. Due to the fact that Telford is actually made up of old mining villages linked by new housing estates, 1960’s housing estates and roads with a plethora of roundabouts, Telford Town centre does not do as other town centre’s around the country do. It is not the nightlife centre of the Town and it is not like a traditional high street. What you will find however are shops, and ...  Read the complete review
