Newest Review: ... electronics section which is for the most part reasonable, and of course the Tesco Value range extends here too enabling you to purchase Value kettles and the like for a good price, the prices seem on par with Argos but always shop around first of course!!! The entertainment section is ok with games CD's and DVD's found, I got my Wii Fit Plus on offer from here which I was pleased with. Opticians are also sometimes found. But dear and small choice, I would not choose to go here. The pharmacy is good and a welcome addition to the supermarket. Never had any medicines out of stock yet which is always a bonus. The cafe is reasonable and p... more

Tesco is a shop I tend to avoid if at all possible, which is very difficult considering I work 2 doors up from a Tesco Extra. I think my fear of it comes from used to work there haha, but this is a purely objective review based on my customer experience!!! Stores are generaly everywhere encroaching on every corner of our country, and take many forms, from the big hypermarkets to Tesco Extra in the community. Tesco Extra is ace. I think the prices are generally the same as mainline stores and goodness you will save a lot being able to nip in there rather than the local corner shop for your essentials, the choice is good, as good as you ...  Read the complete review

we hava a tesco in our town,if i had a chocie i wouldnt go there but its the closest supermarket to us,they always hav what im looking for and very rarely are out of stock of anything i go for,i also think the clubcard is a gd thing and can be very rewarding if you use it often enough,in which we do is is pretty cool.must mention my main problem wiv tesco is the staff, most of the time they dont even say please or thankyou and are quite ignorant,i always say treat people how you want to be treat and that certainly isnt how i like to be treat, dont get me wrong sometimes a nice person can serve you but the majority of the time they are not nice people..and thn there the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tesco: Excellent customer service! (430 words)

Tesco I am on the whole, a big fan of the massive supermarkets which sell everything from clothes to electrical goods, as well as the obvious food and household products. I must admit that Tesco isn't my usual one though, (mainly due to location) but I do shop there around once a week. I find that there is always a good range of goods, and if you are lucky enough to live near a 24 hour Tesco, then I really recommend that you try shopping there late at night. I work shifts so tend to go around 3am when I finish work. It is so much easier to shop when it is quiet and this is the perfect time! There are always plenty of staff around and I ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Too Big for their Boots (659 words)

When I was at University, we used to do midnight shopping trips to the massive Tesco Extra a few junctions up the motorway. Now I live somewhere in between a huge Tesco Extra and a not-so-huge normal one. The late-night shopping was by far the better experience for me. I know supermarkets on the weekends are never going to be a barrel of laughs, but I literally leave Tesco with a pounding headache of frustration whenever I venture in during daylight. I don't think it's very useful to just provide a damning tirade, so I'll try to be constructive in the rest of this review, using my own experiences. Atmosphere ========= I don't ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tesco = Convenience! (247 words)

I literally live next to a huge tesco and even though sometimes I think Tesco is going to take over the world I really do love shopping there and they really stick to he motto of 'every little helps' They have a huge range of products and you can really do all of your shopping under one roof perfect for people who dont have the time to wander round lots of shops to buy your weekly needs. I do agree however that business such as tesco are really putting small local companies ou of business and this is such a shame but at the end of the day the market is changingand peoples needs are changing and thisis where the retail market is taking us. ...  Read the complete review
