Tesco

Newest Review: ... peoples needs are changing and thisis where the retail market is taking us. Tesco have fairly good customer service and they are one of few that are open 24 hours a day, they have many good bargins and offers and Tesco own brand and Tesco value products are fantastic and really do reduce the shopping bill each week. If you can avoid Saturday morning shopping generally its a stress free shop otherwise there are people getting last minue party food, families shopping and unhappy children in the shop. I would recommend to any busy people who dont have time to shop here, shopping for clothes or DVD's is also fantastic and it definitley ... more

I literally live next to a huge tesco and even though sometimes I think Tesco is going to take over the world I really do love shopping there and they really stick to he motto of 'every little helps' They have a huge range of products and you can really do all of your shopping under one roof perfect for people who dont have the time to wander round lots of shops to buy your weekly needs. I do agree however that business such as tesco are really putting small local companies ou of business and this is such a shame but at the end of the day the market is changingand peoples needs are changing and thisis where the retail market is taking us. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review It's taking over the world! (264 words)

Tesco plc is a UK based grocery and general merchandising retail chain. It seems to be practically taking over the world, and even with the recession, is growing in leaps and bounds. It is currently the third largest global retailer (based on revenue). Only Wal-Mart (behind the ASDA brand) and France's hypermarket Carrefour are out in front. If you are basing it on profit they even overtake Carrefour, coming in second. Impressive. When founded in 1919, Tesco was selling surplus groceries from a stall in the east-end of London. The brand was born in 1924, and the first store opened in 1929 in Edgware Middlesex. It has grown and grown over the ...  Read the complete review

Tesco. You may love them or hate them but I bet you have one near you, it may be a small express store or one of the mega 2 floor hypermarket types that seem to be popping up all over. Its with the latter in mind that I write this review. I am spoilt for choice of supermarkets where I live, Morrisons, Asda, Iceland, Marks & Spencer, Aldi and Tesco are all in a short driving distance and I find myself shopping in any number of them on an average week. Tesco is the closest to me so is the most convenient to get to, it used to be a large supermarket on 1 level but has recently undergone a facelift and is now a massive 2 floor shopping ...  Read the complete review

~~~Tesco~~~ Tesco isn't my first choice when it come to doing the weekly shop but I do shop there atleast twice a month. My local Tesco has only recently opened again after it was moved from one end of the town centre to the other, the old one is now a Poundland store!! The new store I must say is 100 times better than the last. It's now a pretty big store which is set over 2 floors. My local Tesco offers the following facillities ~~~ Cafe, 1 hour photo processing, baby care, customer toilets, cash machine and disabled access ~ also another nearby one has ~ Petrol station, Car wash and Recycling ...  Read the complete review
I'm sure you can not be bothered to read about the history of Tescos as if you're really interested in that, you could Wiki it. What I will say is my view of Tescos, what Tescos provides and what I think of them. I remember when a Tesco supermarket opened in my home town when I was a small child and how happy my mum was at how much money we could save as a family by shopping there. Tescos provided, and still does, a large 'Value' range, which is a much cheaper version on brand items. At the time they were of nearly the same quality as the branded item, if not better. Today however, I feel they have started to fall short of a lot of their Value range and have ...  Read the complete review
