Advantages: Less Stress/Saves money/More time to do other things

Disadvantages: None!!

Call me an old fart, but as one who has never adhered to change/new things (internet included at first!), I must admit to being just a tad converted to this!
Gone are my days of trekking around the supermarket, kids (usually of the grizzly kind in such places) in tow, plonking all sorts into my trolley, and, having forgotten my poor excuse of a shopping list, anything but what I really went there for!
No more waiting at the slowest checkout loading and unloading piles of groceries, trying to then stuff them at a hundred miles an hour into those superglued-shut plastic bags whilst the next customer huffs and puffs because you take a bit too long producing that flexible "friend" that is about to be hammered for twice as much as you intended to spend!
Yep! I now do my shopping on "the net". Oh! What a revelation! I buy only what I need (no temptations you see!) and spend half the amount I would usually.
I don't have to fight with the kids, traffic, isle-rage trolley "drivers" or tutting old biddies any longer! Its just all done for you! And for the minor sum of £5 (what price sanity eh?!) the nice (sometimes cute!) guy comes and delivers it straight to your door and with a smile to boot!
Magic! A must for any hard pressed mum with better things to do! - and sooooo stress free! (the kids don't even miss their "Pick & Mix!)

This "dooyoo" is dedicated to my friends Mandy and Gill who are doing their best to drag me into the 21st century and help me lead a less-stressed life!

I have used Tesco Direct over the last month and apart from a few broken eggs which they refunded the price of!!) I have had no complaints. I have two children under 3 yrs and shopping at the store costs me more than a fiver in giving them food to keep them quiet!! What's more tesco pays for their own petrol to get to me with my food!

Whenever they replace something that is not available in my list, it is always very intelligently done and I am now using items that I had previously not seen. Good Op.

I used this service just last Friday. I opted for the 11-1 delivery slot as I intended going out for much of the rest of the day. My intentions went to the wall in the end - the delivery eventually turned up at 7pm! Shame really, because as you point out, there are a lot of benefits to this idea when it all goes off according to plan.

I've often thought it would be great to shop this way but I think I would miss the out-of-date section which is very useful when you have a family of boys who eat everything the minute it arrives in the house.
