Tesco's are taking over the world (Tesco)

I used to be Tesco's biggest fan - anything I wanted I knew I could get from my local Tesco extra. They used to be my answer to everything. For example one time I needed a puncture repair kit and all of the local bike shops had closed down but guess what - Tesco's sold them. For a long time I only ever shopped at Tesco as I knew they would have everything I needed.

However, as Tesco's empire began to grow all over the world I felt they were being greedy and letting there standards slip a little. One key example of this is when I went to Tesco's to buy some stationary. I ended up buying three ring binders (because they were on offer) and some punched pockets to go inside them. Both of these products were Tesco's own range and but the pockets were of a different size so would not fit in the ringbinder. When I took these back to the shop I wouldnt even be listened to as I didnt have the receipt. I then spent about a week looking for an email address on their website - which was near impossible to find! Only to get a reply a month later saying that I should take my products back to the store. I was not happy!

I have felt that Tesco's greed has been even worse during the credit crunch by their frequent adverts saying they have cut prices when in reality they put them up first!! Another thing that has annoyed me about Tesco's is there new range of 'discounted brands' which in my opinion is trying to take all of the trade away from discount shops like Aldi and Lidl. Why cant Tesco leave them alone!

Despite all of this negativity Tesco do have some good offers on sometimes and is still reasonably cheap compared to some places. However there ethics and customer services leaves a lot to be desired!
