Do you know about Tesco's rule about shopping on a sunday? ...... i DOUBT IT.
As most of you probably know Tesco closes at 4 o'clock on a sunday afternoon. They close they doors around 3.40pm so people who haven't started shopping can't. There is a trading rule that sys that after 4.30pm nothing can be scanned nor paid for. So if you get to a checkout at 4.20pm and by 4.30 you haven't paid then you can't therefore you are not allowed the shopping which would be a great bummer because you have wasted at least 30 minutes and have no shoping at the end of it! At around 4.10pm staff direct to the tills whether yo have finished or not. I just thought i should let all DooYoo members into a supermarket produce so in the future you don't get caught out!

This isn't anything to do with Tesco - it's trading law. Shops over a certain size (i.e. big supermarkets) are only allowed to trade between 10 and 4 on Sundays. Closing at 4 means that the trade has to be cut off when it's still busy, so they close the doors early to allow time to get the people already in the shop out by 4.
