Convenient, well laid out stores.

Advantages: Convenient, fast, large variety.
Disadvantages: Night time, only self-checkouts available.
I know a lot of people don't like the way that tesco seem to be 'taking over the UK' (I place that in quotations because I don't think that is strictly true).
However, the stores, large or small, are always a really high quality, me and my housemates always opt to travel slightly further to shop at the Tesco Extra, which is a couple of villages away, rather than go to the closer, ASDA store.
As well as the stores being clean, well stocked, and really well laid out, all products are really easy to find, there are always plenty of staff running around in various areas, so you can ask them for help if you need it.
The check-outs move fairly quickly in the day, although I will say that it is quite annoying that only self-check outs are open after a certain time, which I think at my store is 9pm, but then again, having worked in retail I can understand that you can't expect the full set of staff to work during the night as well as day, it is understandable that it is skeleton staff at night times and it is highly convenient that the majority of stores are 24 hours (aside from Sundays).
Also, the Tesco express stores are open until Midnight every night, even Sundays and bank holidays!
What more could you ask for?
There is also the added bonus, of if you sign up for a clubcard, you get a lot of little freebies and points which mount up to redeem from your future shopping.
One month me and my housemates saved around £30 from our monthly big shop, due to vouchers that we had earned from our clubcard points.
The selection of food, clothes, toys, electricals all in one area is fantastic, and highly convenient.
Summary: Worthwhile for clubcard points and discounts!
