Everyone knows what Tesco is and every corner you turn there seems to be one there however I think it a good shop for everyday people and probably the best supermarket.

There own brand produce- Tesco have their own brand a food which can be broken down into three main categories:

* Tesco value- This is there cheapest food and when I say cheap I mean it! This food basic and not the best quality. Having said that it's still ok for example if you but a packet of Tesco value cookies they will probably have a few less chocolate chips in than normal but they still taste ok. They have a lot of different types of food in the range and they also have other items such as cleaning products, the price is always the cheapest you will find anywhere. The packaging is kept very plain and is usually white with the Tesco logo in red. The aim here is just to keep it at the lowest price possible.

* Normal Tesco food- Their normal food brand is just what you expect from branded goods but a bit cheaper because you are not paying for the name. They often copy branded food such as breakfast cereals and make their own version. I think its normally just as good as other stuff and will save you a few pounds so it definitely worth buying.

* Tesco's Finest- This is their premium range and is delicious. This really is good quality food, the meat is always the nicest cut and the cake made with the finest ingredients. The packaging is stylish and the food is usually presented nicely. You can expect to pay a bit more for this food but it's great for a dinner party or a nice meal with your family.

The shop- Tesco's are laid out well and it's normally easy to find what you are looking for. The food and other items are well organised and they have signs above each row to tell you what is there. There is plenty of room to move about and I have never found it to be too busy. They have lots of checkouts and self service. I normally use the self service when I have small amounts of shopping because it is never busy. They also have car parks with plenty of room and enough baskets and trolleys, they also have trolleys that can be used by wheelchair users and people with babies and young children. The larger Tesco's have a deli, bakery and fresh fish counter, they also sell clothes and have a cafe. Some also sell household appliances and TVs.

The staff- Most of the staff are friendly and helpful, however there are a few that seem quite moody and don't seem to know what they are talking about. You can always find someone around if you need and help or advice. The checkout staff are also friendly and you can normally have a bit of a chat with them.

Tesco club card- There are already a lot of reviews about this so I will just go over what it is quickly.
This is one of the best things about Tesco, it is free to sign up and when you do you will get a card that you swipe every time you make a purchase. When you swipe your car you will get points depending on how much you have spent, you can then save up the points and redeem them against another Tesco shop or you can redeem them for three times the value at various places such as days out and restraunts (you will be surprised at how many places except them). They also sometimes run promotions like double points on some items and when you are part of their rewards scheme they will send you other money off vouchers.

Online- Like a lot of supermarkets you can shop for your groceries online, this is easy to use and I have never had any problems with it. You normally have to pay for delivery however they sometimes run promotions where you can get it for free.

I think Tesco is a great supermarket for busy people who want everything in one place. I would highly recommend it and I think its one of the best supermarkets
