When I was very young we had a small Tesco store, and across the road there was a seperate Tesco Homeware shop. I dont remember the quality of the goods there ,but do remember the insults given to people if they looked shabby at school ie, " Its a Tesco Tearaway".
Near where I live now there is a massive Tesco with a huge variety of stock, good choice of fresh fruit and vege, a selection of health food and organic food and a very good wine department with constant good value offers on Wine and beer.
In addition to the massive food department there is a homeware and clothes section, and also a wide choice of CD, DVD and Videos. A good stationary and computer supply department at fairly cheep prices, and a clothes department.

Tesco do have a point card, which can also be used at its filling stations, however I find it easier to amass points with a sainsburys card.

And finally , If anyone tells me I look like a tesco tearaway in the great value speedo swimming costume I bought, I will be very surprised.
