The Body Shop was founded in 1976 by Anitia Roddick in Brighton, at the time is was a new experience, natural products, not tested on animals, items sourced from other countries and the bit that made me smile, was that she couldn't afford many bottles for packaging so recycled containers. The empire grew, Anitia Roddick was head of the comapny, was made a Dame, and eventually sold out the company. Unfortunately Anitia Roddick passed away. I have been shopping in The Body Shop for years. I use to hate the shopping experience in there because, as a teenager, the security guards used to hover over me and my friends, even though we were just innocently shopping. I used to feel like a criminal. However I'm glad to say that those days are gone and I now enjoy my Body Shop experience much more. The Body Shop sells expensive health and beauty products for women mostly but also sells products for men to. Their stores seem to be small in size but inside you will notice they do sell a lot of products. On average prices for their creams, moisturizers are expensive starting from about 9.99 most of the them you will hardly find anything that you can consider a bargain here. It is particularly famed for producing items that are naturally sourced and are also totally against testing their products on animals. They are also commited to selling products that are ethically produced and promote fair trade in third world countries.
