Advantages: Some wicked products

Disadvantages: Very expensive; Not a lot of choice compared to other places; Bad staff in some shops

I used to love the Body Shop but since they sold out to L'Oreal it seems pointless paying the high prices in there when there ethics are not as good as they used to be.

They sell everything for your body and hair including shower gel, shampoo, make up, bath stuff and their famous body and lip butters. I got a £25.00 voucher for my birthday and went to spend it today and I don't think the Body Shop is as good as it used to be and the prices seem even higher than they used to be as well.

Today I brought a bottle of shampoo, a lip butter, a lipstick and a small body butter and that was 25 quid gone on not even a full bag of stuff.

The products in the Body Shop are always nice but they don't smell as good as what I buy from Lush and the packaging is proper boring looking as well.

I love the lip butters and body butters but they are so expensive and because they are so thick you end up using loads and have to wipe the exess off on a towel which means it's a waste. I think the body butters are too greasy for this time of year but in the winter it's dead comforting to use a strong scented thick butter that leaves you smelling nice all day. The coconut and mango ones are my faves because they smell delish and the smell lasts for hours and if you put it on before bed it makes the sheets smell wicked.

There isn't much choice of make up but the lipsticks are good and have a range from pale peach right up to deep red so I reckon there is something for every skin tone. I don't think much of the eye make up because the colours are all a bit old fashioned but some people must buy them because they wouldn't sell them otherwise.

The shops are layed out good and different stores are layed out different. In some the products will be grouped by the smell or range of them and in others all the hair stuff will be in one area, the shower gels in another and so on. I prefer it when they put all the ranges in one place because it makes it easier to choose what I want but they don't really sell that many products so it's never hard to find stuff I like.

The staff in the Body Shop are mixed and some are dead good and proper helpful but others are obviously only there for their wages and not interested in helping. I hate people in shops like that so make myself as irritating to them as possible until they take notice of my needs just to get rid of me!

I can't be bothered with the Body Shop anymore and would rather go to the more ethical Lush because they've got better products anyway.
