The Body Shop is a brand I'm sure everyone must be aware of on the high street. As far as I am aware, they were one of the first brands to really hammer home, the message of ethical products. The Body Shop is a massive company with 2,400 stores across 61 different countries. It was founded in 1976 by Anita Roddick, to be a cosmetic store ...  Read the complete review

I love to scrimp and save as much as the next person, I find every voucher, deal, freebie, bargain I can and I literally relish in it. I'm not a girly girl, I don't wear tonnes of make up, own loads of shoes or have hundreds of bags. I don't have a beauty regime (no comments about whether I need one necessary ;p) and I don't understand ...  Read the complete review

The Body Shop. Around the world the brand is well known. Most towns have one. Most people have visited one. To me they are brilliant. One of the great things I love about the stores, where-ever they are, is that they smell amazing. I recently went into the body shop in Brighton. I used to shop regularly at the store in Winchester when I was younger but thought it became too expensive. I've always passed the body shop and loved the smells and products I could see on display, but thought of it as an expensive store and therefore merely passed. Slightly more than a year ago, shopping with one of my friends, she insisted that we quickly go to the Body Shop to pick up some of her essentials. I browsed the shelves and ...  Read the complete review

I've had this store in my town for years now yet it never really appealed to me until recently. I remember the first time I went into The Body Shop. It was a couple of years back when my friend wanted to go in. My initial thought was that the shop smelt nice but £10 for a tub of body butter was seriously overpriced. I never ...  Read the complete review

Express Review on The Body Shop
by Stephanie - written on 22/03/10
Rating:

The Body Shop - ironically, this chain of shops that does not test on animals is now owned by L'OREAL, a company that does test on animals & has bought out several other companies that also test on animals. Buy from the body shop & you actually support a company that still tests on animals. if you don't believe me, go to the l'oreal website & look at its companies & their individual policies, as well as l'oreal's policy on animal testing. Now that I know this, I won't be buying anything from the body shop! If I could give it no stars I would.
