I will never ever order anything else from this company who are the most incompetent mail order company I have ever dealt with. As I write this email I should be putting together my new bed for my new house so I can sleep in my proper bedroom for the first time in 5 weeks. But no for a second time again they have failed to deliver on a mutually agreed specified date despite the Buying Director organising this for me.
I have written to them three times to complain and by trying to contact the MD have ended up with the Buying Director dealing with my complaint. I have now insisted I have a full refund as they took my money from me in the middle of July when I ordered the furniture. I am also pursuing a compensation claim as well. I have a large envelope of paperwork from them confirming delivery dates and items, but none of them worth the paper they are written on as they are incapable of delivering anything bigger than a toilet role tidy.
Their call centre is crap, I have wasted hours of my time holding on to speak to someone on their 0870 number. Their distribution company should be sacked and I've told them this as they seem unable to deliver anything efficiently - they turned up today with a despatch note that didn't have all the items for me on it and one that was supposedly not being delivered because it was out of stock. They infact had only one item for me which wasn't on the despatch note and was damaged on receipt so it will have to be returned.
If I don't get my full compensation I will be going to the small claims court and Watchdog whom I'm sure will find many more customers like me who have been treated equally as badly. They deserve to be awarded for their complete lack of customer service they would win it outright - amateurs.
Summary: For your sanities sake - avoid at all cost!

- 13/10/06 I agree with your sentiments wholeheartedly. I experienced the same problems ie non-delivery in spite of providing both verbal and written confirmation of delivery date, difficulties getting through on the 0870 number, indifferent staff, having to wait nearly two months for a refund and a Head of Customer Service who just cannot be bothered. This is an absolutely dreadful company - steer clear at all costs.
