The Entertainer is a store that only opened in the west field centre in Derby a couple of years ago but there are 48 stores nationwide. The store claims to be the largest independent toy retailer in the UK with the first store been opened in 1981. The store in one of the bigger toy shops in Derby and is clean and tidy. I do like that there is room to manoeuvre around the store with a buggy. And while toys are not generally out you can at least pick them up and take a good look. There is a castle with a bridge in the middle of the store that I have no idea what it advertises but my son does love it and wants me to go up and down that same ... Read the complete review

My local Entertainer is located in Harlow, Essex. The Entertainer is a chain of toy shops that sells pretty much everything that children could ever want! When you first enter the store you will see shelves and shelves of toys everywhere you look, everything from play dough to electric toys to board games and everything is very well organised with entire shelves dedicated to Teletubbies, In The Night Garden, Board Games, Playdo and various other toys/programmes that children love. This makes it fairly easy to just enter the store and head to whatever section sells the toys that your child or relative is currently interested in and if you are pushed ... Read the complete review

The Entertainer is located in Festival Place, quite tucked away so you might miss it. It is not far from the Library in a quiet area of the shopping centre. This store sells a wide range of toys and you would need to take some time browsing unless you knew exactly what you wanted to buy. All the goods are neatly displayed so it is not too difficult to find what you want. The staff are also very helpful so if you do have difficulty you only need to ask. I have often found items for sale in this store which are more expensive in others so I tend to shop here quite a bit as I know the prices are reasonable and it is not overpriced. It also sells a ... The entertainer has become one of the most well known toy stores about now, having been growing successfully over the past few years. One of the great things about this store is that they put their own views ahead of simple profit making - as the executives believe in 'keep sunday sacred' none of their stores open on a sunday, even on the run up to christmas. whilst this can be annoying, their values are refreshing. As a toy store it does stock a bit of everything, and usually at fantastic prices too. the store is often piled high, but products are normally sorted into age ranges, boys and girls, and then ranges, for example all of the thomas the ... This shop has barely changed since I was a child picking out my birthday or christmas presents. The layout of the shop is not chic or modern, toys are piled on high shelves right up to the ceiling but this has always added to the fun filled atmosphere for me. Before Milton Keynes added a Toys R'Us to their endless list of shopping conveniences this was the one stop shop for toys, from huge Scalextric sets to 20p plastic dinosaurs. Great place for birthday OR pocket money spend. This is a great shop I recently came here with my kids and my friends and they kids, looking for a present and there was lots to chose from. The best asset to this shop is the staff. One ... Read the complete review
