The Frenchgate Centre is the main shopping centre located in Doncaster. It was named after the street of the same name that has existed since medieval times. This is a good centre but the lack of free parking lets it down. Old Frenchgate The centre has been the heart of the town for over 40 years and was originally called the Arndale Centre because it was built, owned and managed by the Arndale Group. The Frenchgate Centre, Doncaster is a modern clean shopping centre now with the expansion connected to you new transport interchange its a lot better to get too than before by public transport. Its in the centre of Doncaster. Frenchgate is the 18th largest shopping centre in the country. It used to be called the Arndale Centre it still is by some older locals. The big brand shops include Sainsbury's, Next, BHS, Woolworths, Argos, Boots, Debenhams, WH Smith, Wilkinson, Carphone Warehouse, Waterstone's plus loads more.
