Advantages: Sells a huge range of items for all the family (mainly books)

Disadvantages: There isn't a store in every town (yet)

The Works

What is it ?
Well, it is advertised as a discount book store, but to my mind, it is so much more than that.

Why so ?
Basically because, although about 70% of it's stock is books, the remaining 30% is other items.

Tell me more about the books ?
Some of the latest titles in both hardback and paperback, mixed with a selection of slightly older books and old favourites. There are books in just about every subject,
including
cookery (from top t.v. chefs and cooks), childrens (education and storytime), gardening, autobiographies, war, hobbies,puzzle, history, geography,medical, and general story.

And the prices ?
It just gets better, as every book is hugely discounted. For example a hardback book which is priced at £16.99, may cost as little as £2.99.

And extra offers too ?
Oh yes, very often they have even more special offers, such as 3 books for £5.

Are the books new ?
Yes, absolutely.

And they sell other items too ?
Yes, each store has a selection of the following...
Stationery items - pens, pencils, crayons, stationery sets, notebooks,writing paper sets
Art and Craft - paints, paintbrushes,paper, card making kits,glue, scissors
Hobbies - pilates sets, jigsaw puzzles, jewellery kits,
Videos and DVDs - for children and grown ups alike, from films and t.v. to cartoons
Gift sets - cards, for Birthdays etc and wrapping paper
Raffle ticket books, calendars, diaries, posters,
Games - card and board games for every age group

An every day store or for special occassions ?
Both !
The great thing about this store is that you can always get something there. A books to take on holiday or a DVD for a present, or a craft set for the children or a jigsaw for Granny.

I 'pop in' every couple of weeks to see what is new in stock. I find that I can usually pick up a bargain or two there, sometimes just general items and lots of times for presents - it's great at Christmas time, I get loads of books and Childrens books and games from here.

Overall
A very under rated store in my opinion as they sell a huge range of items for all the family. I think when people see 'discounted' they think cheap and give it a miss, when really they are missing out on good quality items at amazing prices.
I would recommend you to pop in and have a mooch around - I bet you come out with a purchase!

I give this store 9 out of 10.
