Thorntons sell quality chocolates and is a great place to shop if you want to buy a special gift of chocolate for a loved one. Apart from the usual boxes of chocolates they also sell lovely children's gift items such as Christmas novelty items and selection packs all made of high quality chocolate. They are very reasonably priced and quite often reduce their prices or have special offers on.

All the boxes of chocolates are beautifully packaged and behind the counter they also sell a selection of handmade chocolates which although expensive look equisite. They also sell smaller bags of toffees and chocolates so you do not need to spend a fortune.

At Easter you can buy their Easter Eggs which can be engraved with the recipients name.

Thorntons stores tend to be quite small in size and this can be a problem when moving about within the store itself and at busy periods such as Christmas and Easter the queues can be a problem.

The one in Basingstoke only has two shop assistants who also do all the chocolate engraving and gift wrapping so at busy periods you can have quite a wait on your hands but they really do their best to be as speedy as possible. I also write reviews on ciao and helphound.
