Advantages: Some bargains.

Disadvantages: The time it takes to find anything.

If you are going to shop at TK MAXX then you need a couple of things on your side, number 1 is time and number 2 is luck and you need plenty of them both.

My wife dragged me shopping with her a few months back and I found myself in this jumble sale of a shop but after moaning about the place I came across a very smart Henley's shirt at a fraction of the price than my local Sphere store were asking for it so suddenly I liked TK MAXX.

I have been there a few times since with the missus but this is why I say you need time and luck because on my more recent trips I have stood and waded through rail after rail of clothes and found nothing suitable. I guess it was beginner's luck me finding that shirt and I have become infuriated with the store since.

Anyone who has shopped in TK MAXX will know that they have their clothes set out in sizes so rather than browse through things you like to find they do not have your size you simply browse through the clothes that are in your size.

This can be a right nuisance too though as I found out recently when I picked a pair of jeans of the rack that I really liked and checked the little tag on the hanger, yes they were indeed a 34 waist so off I went to try them on.

Once in the changing room though and down to my boxers I took them off the hanger and realised they looked big, so I checked inside and the tag said 38 waist. Some idiot had put these on the wrong hanger and wasted ten minutes of my life, so whilst their way of racking clothes may seem like a good idea it doesn't necessarily work.

It is not all about clothes in TK MAXX, they sell a bit of everything and browsing through their home ware items and aftershaves and perfumes is a bit easier but it is still a bit daunting and not at all like looking round a typical high street store.

If you are ok for having a rummage through what is essentially a giant jumble sale then you might find the odd bargain in TK MAXX but it drives me mad personally and its back to paying full price in proper shop for me!
