great for bargains but a lots of hard work (TK Maxx)

T K Maxx is an excellent store, its a lot of hard work but that just make the bargains all the more rewarding when you get them!

I've mainly shopped at T J Maxx (the american version) and the T K maxx's in St Albans, Hatfield and Stevenage. while there are similar themes that run though all the shops each has an individual stock and layout.

You can never be sure if you'll get what you're looking for when you go in there since they don't have a regular suppliers, they just take what ever is left over from other shops. So i wouldn't make a trip specifically to go there, but rather add it on to the end of my shopping trip, luckily they all seem to be in shopping centers.

Brands they are very good at are Roxy and Bench(most tops/dresses cost about £13- £20), evening dresses are also a great bargain here! Great for pretty things for the home (which is my weakness!!) like vases and photo frames, and practical things like glasses and pan, excellent for outdoor and sports clothing and shoes. This is the place I go for a large Christmas shop!

The downside is you're never sure what you're going to get and its a bit of a jumble sale, you have to spend time going through every item to see what it is, also they don't have a range of sizes for each item. You have to pay for carrier bags.

Summary: good if you've got the time
