Advantages: cheap designer
Disadvantages: jumble sale style
I live in a area where a lot of the shops in the local shopping centre are pound shops or charity shops. We have no real shops selling childrens clothes locally other than supermarkets and tk maxx.
Normally I don't go in tk maxx, however after last year when my son had the same school coat as about 30 other boys, thanks asda!!. I decided to have a look in tk maxx.
I had already browsed the internet and decided if I could not find one up there I would buy the one I liked from debenhams website for £21.50 in the sale.
On entrance to the shop I was shocked to find it didn't look as bad as it was last time I went there.
The jumble sale style is still there but everything was a lot more organised and I headed straight to the childrens section.
TK maxx sells good brands for less, the stock is usually last season but if you pick good wardrobe staples you are on to a winner.
The shop sells mens ladies and childrenswear. As well as furniture and toys.
I was delighted to find a lovely pink padded jacket with a fluffy hood for my daughter for a total of £10 I couldn't believe the value as it orginally comes from pumpkin patch with a price tag of £25. What a bargain!!!
What I was totally shock to find was the exact same coat I picked out for my son in debenhams online sale hanging on the rail for £13.
I was estatic that I managed to get the coat I wanted and a coat for my daughter for less than 1 coat and delievery cost.
I am now a TK MAXX convert!!!
I am sure this year my son won't have the same as everyone else and I now have some spare pennies too, so we are off to the cinema tomorrow. Thanks TK maxx
Summary: converted me? I think so...
