Advantages: Perfect if you want something different, great value

The first thing I will say about TK Maxx is that you have to be in the mood for rooting through a near-jumble sale when you visit this shop. As this store tends to only stock a few of the same item, the rails are a mish-mash of colours, sizes and designs.
TK Maxx's motto is 'always up to 60% less' than the recommended retail price and I sometimes find that their reductions are even less than this.

TK Maxx is great if you want something a bit different - they tend to stock lesser-known independent designers as well as the big name brands.
The 'young fashion' range usually has some great quirky dresses that are perfect if you're fed up of seeing people in the same clothes as you from other high street stores. You can also pick up some designer pieces at a fraction of the price - my local store always has lots of Betty Jackson and Chloe items.

TK Maxx is a great place to go if you need an evening dress - they always have a huge selection of both party dresses and evening gowns. However, to avoid a fashion disaster I wouldn't recommend buying a prom dress from here as so many people do - you don't want your special night ruined by someone else turning up in the same dress as you!

The end of line final clearance sales are fantastic - I managed to pick up some Ralph Lauren jeans for £5! The reductions on designer items are always good - I once saw a top with an RRP of £1000 for £1! The one thing I will say is to check every item in the final sale carefully - sometimes a lot of them are faulty or have stains on them etc.

The 'home' department is another highlight of this store - you can pick up some gorgeous things you'd expect to see in more high-end stores.

The one downside about this store is the returns policy - there is only a 14 day money-back guarantee - which isn't ideal if you're giving something as a gift or won't be able to bring something back in time if you don't like it.

Overall I'd recommend TK Maxx to anyone who loves their designer bargains or wants something a bit different for a change.
