Advantages: Great fashions for all types.

Disadvantages: Can be expensive!

Topshop has always been the holy grail of shops when I was younger, because the clothes seemed almost magical and the prices much too high for a 13 year old me to afford.

Clothes:

Topshop has a wide range of different clothes available, including:

*Their own regular brand
*Basics
*Lingerie
*Petite
*Kate Moss
*Boutique
*Shoes
*Freedom - jewellery
etc. I could go on forever.

I love the fashion trends that Topshop. They seem to embrace all the trends for the moment, and often before they really hit off, so when one shops there, you really get a feeling of being really fashionable and 'of the moment'. A very pleasant feeling.
However, the Kate Moss clothes are generally a lot more expensive but not that special. Unless you fell in love with one of the designs, I wouldn't bother shopping in that section. I always walk straight past it.

I do love the fashion, it lasts a long time in terms of fabric etc, but the trends do not, so often you can buy an item of clothing which you love, and not put it back on after a few weeks, which is fine if you dont mind spending endless amounts if money every month.

I however, prefer to be more thrifty, so I only get to go to Topshop when I get paid a lot, or get given money or something, cause I would rather buy an item of clothing which looks great and wont look stupid in a couple of months.

Shopping in Topshop is a real treat for me though, as I think the clothes are gorgeous and look amazing when wearing them. They make you feel edgy with their punk elements, but cute with the use of frills and floral patterns. You can really dress to your personality, which is essential for any fashonista.

Prices:
_ _ _ _

The prices are the iffy part for any shopper. I constantly find myself walking into topshop, browsing, crying, then walking out empty handed.

The clothes are expensive for what they are, which on trend t-shirts going from around £16 at the cheapest, up to around £30. For a T-shirt, that is very extravagant...

Their basic tees start at around £6 for a vest. £6 for two pieces of plain fabric sewn together is a little silly, however there is an in-store offer of two for £9 on basics. Which I feel is reasonable, as the prices rival other high street competitors.

London topshop has extra sections of designer items, especially designed and exclusive to the Oxford Circus branch. These brands are often handmade/printed which makes it much more expensive for what they are (£28 for a long vest top!), but unique. I like buying tops from these sections, as even though they are a lot for the item, in comparison to the rest of Topshop, they are on par if not a little more pricey.

Other:
_ _ _ _

Topshop also sells sweets, which makes me laugh as many of the girls who shop there probably wouldnt eat a whole big bag of haribo or cadbury giant buttons. They may not fit into the clothes they bought afterwards. What a waste!

Service is always friendly, however I have had issues with my student card, but I have always managed to get my student discount. You just need to be firm and assertive. They generally give up caring after you have been arguing for a couple of minutes XD They must hate me!

They do great student discount days where you get 20% off and a goody bag with every purchase containing water, sweets and a free accessory.

Overall, I love Topshop, it's expensive, but the fashion is always on trend and I love wearing clothes from there they make me feel good and cool :)
I would reccomend it for a slight splurge, but not for everyday shopping, as if you don't have endless amounts of money, you may find yourself scrounging in your sofa for coppers to afford food.

Summary: Love shopping here, but have to refrain from spending too much - its done very easily!

They have some really nice shoes though - ones that you can't find anywhere else.

I thought it was great when it first started but too pricey and not the quality any more

I don't like the men's section apart from the jeans. The tops seem like the same you can find in Primark but tripple the price!
