Toys R Us generally the first place I go to buy toys (ToysRUs)

Advantages: Variety, good offers, mostly helpful staff

Disadvantages: Bringing things back after xmas, low stock around Feb

First memory of Toys R Us as an adult (well almost adult) was applying for a job when I was 15 and not getting an interview never mind the job! If you are looking for toys or baby equiptment chances are you will at some point look into Toys R Us. They are a great toy shop and do stock a massive variety of toys, computer games, outdoor toys, baby & nursery even dvds and musical instruments!

I would say I shop here at least once a month and usually buy something each time I do. They seem to always have offers on and getting closer to Christmas they can be costly as they are usually spend £40 on "whoever" and receive this "thing worth "£15-20" free! Needless to say the amount of times I have gone in to buy one item and ended up getting another 2 just to get that one free item is rather high!

The only problem I have with them is around Feb they appear to run out of a lot of stock and stay that way for a few weeks - something I have always noticed with birthdays in March and May. I did ask why a few years ago and was told it was something to do with stock-taking.

The staff during the day and evening have always been great and so helpful to the point of spending ages looking for something in the store rooms for me on more than one occassion - twice it was the manager of that section and he knew he had some in stock so was determined to find them! However have found that SOME of the staff at weekends can be a bit not bothered and when I have asked for help I have received a response along the lines of "dont know" so I tend to stick to during the week for my visits.

Only other negative is the queue to bring things back after Christmas is massive and twice I have had to stand in it once with a faulty push along dog toy and another because we had got two of the same item. However when I have stood there feeling annoyed I have looked at the staff working as fast as they can and instantally felt a little guilty!

Summary: If I know what I want I do shop around online for best price and most of the time its here
