Advantages: Nice designs.

Disadvantages: Poor quality, faded colours, slow delivery.

I always feel that there is a lack of really nice childrenswear available on the highstreet, so having three children I decided to give Vertbaudet a try. Upon first perusal at the catalogue the designs seemed lovely and really different and the prices reasonable. They also seemed to do really good deals and sent me codes for free postage and free gifts. I decided to go ahead and put an order in. My order eventually came by courier and with great trepidation I opened it. To my dismay I found the clothes really cheaply made and the colours in particular looked faded. The sizing was also very small and although I have got slim children I still found the sleeves and leg length really short. The clothes did not wash well and faded even more, print and appliques also came away very easily.

A couple of years later, (sucked in by their constant offers sent through the post) I decided to give them another try. I ordered a lovely outfit for my son to wear at a wedding. After three months the items had still not arrived and the wedding had been and gone. I decided to cancel my order by email and told them not to send me any more catalogues or junk mail. Strangely a month later I recieved the 'free gift' that I had ordered with my sons outfit. I have never recieved any more mail from them and would never consider using them again. I think the service and quality of the clothes reflect the prices and I have since found that paying a little more for childrens clothes is not false economy as they have to be so hard wearing.

Summary: Spend a bit more and order from Boden instead!
