Xtravision is the main DVD and game rental outlet in Northern Ireland. There are many branches in Belfast and further afield.

Xtravision operates as a dvd and game library where you rent the dvds and games per night. Typically a new release dvd costs £3.50 per night. Older releases usually cost less, typically £2.50 and can be kept for two nights. Being a mainstream type of place the new releases come in when released and can be limited in numbers, Xtravision produce a free magazine that is available instore, it outlines new releases and promotions.

Not the place to look for indie or classic films, it is best for new mainstream releases. The older sections tend to be so jumbled and full of films you can never imagine anyone watching, they can be tiresome to look through and hold few gems.

I use the local branch and I use Lovefilm for greater choice, I'd imagine that the company will have to up its game to combat the online competition.
