As most people know Virgin was a business created by a young Richard Branson. It has grown since back then from one little record shop to a world wide business that has expanded and on of the branches it has gone out to is retail and in particular a big name in music and digital entertainment.

I live near the member known as Jonny Crossdresser so i visit the same store but unlike Jonny i have been to many other different stores because i am originally from London which probably has all the record shops you can think of!Twice!

The store is in a place called Crewe and it is one of the bigger attractions in the town and it is not hared to miss. The store is based on one floor with everything you need being situated around the shop in an easy to find way. To the front of the store you find all the latest music out and you get all th better releases right in front of you as you go in. There are all the latest singles to you left and there is a little display showing you the new singles this week.

On your rifgt there is the wide selection of Albums which is hard to miss and there is another rack for the compilations. In the middle of the floor are many stands that have older singles and albums which are situated in alphebetical order but things are quite hard to find because they have set up the display so it makes it very difficult to find things.

To the back you find all other produts that they stock such as posters which are set up so they are easy to look at. and next to them a shelf full of computing and lads magazines. The videos are next to these in various catorgaries so it is easy for you to find a specific video. DVD'S are stored at the back of the shop but the amount there is limited because it has not yet really expanded into that market yet. They have a wide selection of games for all formats so you wont be dissapointed.. There are 3 listening booths around the store given you are chance to listen to certain new produc
ts to give you an idea. The one thing i have to complain about here is that because they are the only big record store in the area there prices are quita high and people have to end up buying it because they can't get it anywhere else.

The shop is very spaced out if there is hardly anyone in there but when it starts to get a few more people in you find it a lot harder to move around and find things that you want. There are 2 tills in the shop which at peak times of the week is not enough because rather big lines form so you spend quita a lot of time waiting. The staff are very helpful but you normally have to go up to the till to ask because there is no-one around who can help you quickly. The store is very clean and regularly you see a member of staff cleaning up any mess.

Compared to other store i have been to eg HMV and Our Price it is fairly good but there prices are questionable. This could be overcomed by purchasing you product of the internet but that is up to you. So in conclusion it is a very warm and fun place to go but can be a bit of a hassle when more people are vsiting.
