Well i had been hankering for one of these since before my daughter was even born. They start at 6months and this particular one lasts until they are 3 years old. It is a clever little machine that knows where you are on each page by the pressing of the green go button and the use of a cartridge which plugs into the top of the unit. Each time you turn the page you press the 'GO' button and then there are lots of pictures for baby to touch and each one will have sounds or music or a song to listen to. Tell them the story or just listen to exciting melodies that are sure to keep you and baby entertained for some time. There are 3 ... Read the complete review

VTECH are about the best electronic toy manufacturers I have ever come across. We bought our first one in the form of a talking dinosaur called Dinosorter. He taught colour, chapes, numbers and played a few fun games. He was robust and has lasted through 4 young kids. We have bought several of their mini-computers. All of our kids have one in the various age groups. Not only are they fun, but they definately help learning skills. The ones we have all have maths, spelling, music, quizzes and games on them. They can be expensive, but I think they are worth it. My second daughter struggled with her reading & spelling for a year ... Read the complete review

My daughter adores all of her V Tech toys, they are very durable and colourful and no matter how many times the get flung across the room none of them have ever been damaged. She has too many to mention but here are a few, Moosical Beads (see my opinion on that), Singing Bee, My first Laptop, Tiny Touch Phone, Activity First Steps and lots more. The singing Bee is great, he's a colourful little friendly looking bee on wheels and when you push him along he moves his head and flaps his wings. He has two sound modes, on one he plays tunes and on the other he says "one, two, three, hi honey". It is priced at around £9.99 and is well worth ... Read the complete review

VTech have a very wide range of electronic learning toys that grow and develop with your child. Some of the best ones for children once they get past the toddler stage though are their wide range of computers. I bought my son who is 6yrs old a VTech computer. It cost £15.99 from Woolworths and is suitable for 4 to 7 years old and is called Smart Start Knowledge Keys. It is a bright yellow and red laptop with blue and yellow keys. It has twelve activities which include: 1.Missing letter: The child is given a simple word with a letter missing and they have to figure out which one it is. 2.Find the word: They are shown a picture and question ... We only have two VTech toys at present but I fully intend to purchase more. We have the moosical beads and the shape n sort car. I looked at alternatives for both of these toys but they didn't have music or flashing lights. In my opinion VTech take a basic toy, like the shapr sorter and bead slides and make them a whole lot better. Brigter, chunkier, lights and music. This enables the child to interact more with the toy. My son particularly likes it when I sing along the words to the nursery rhymne tunes from his VTech toys. These toys are perhaps more pricey than some of the alternatives available but I believe you are getting ... Read the complete review
