Advantages: own brand items and well known favourites
Disadvantages: prices a bit high
What is Waitrose ?
A supermarket that is thought of as a superior store.
What does it sell ?
The same as any other supermarket.
There are sections for Fresh meat, fresh fish, deli, cheese counter, fruit and vegetables, grocery, wine section, baby products, newspapers, magazines, wrapping paper and greetings cards, and fresh flowers.
Any extra's ?
An instore cafe which sells snacks too.
Do they deliver ?
Yes if you need that service, although there is a charge.
Baskets and trolleys ?
Yes, both, and you don't need a pound coin for the trolley.
Staff, are they knowledgable and helpful ?
I have always found them so. There is usually someone around that you can ask for help if needed. staff on specialist counters have good knowledge of their products.
special things ?
you get a token each time you shop which you can use to vote for a local good cause. the cause gets money at the end of the month.
A good store then ?
As supermarkets go, yes quite good, although be prepared to pay a bit more for your products. they have own brand items and general well known brands too.
I would give waitrose 4 out of 5.
Summary: just another supermarket
