Edinburgh is never considered much of an excellent place for shopping but it has it's good places. Although the Waverley Shopping Centre isn't the best of all places to shop, it does have many good names under it's roof and it is right in the city centre, obviously being nmaed Waverley for being next door to the train station. A variety of shops are in here, from little gadget shops, clothes shops and beauty shops to record shops and so on. Being an Edinburgh Gal I know everything about Edinburgh and its shops. I used to always stay in the main part of the town looking at all the shops like TopShop, Gap, USC, Next, Tammy etc. One day up the town with my friend I was shopping and we went up the back streets and found lots of better ones this is on George Street. There are all the designer shops like, French Connection, Whistles, Karen Millen, kruise which has Gucci, Prada. On some of the lower down streets there are Miss Selfridge, Oasis and others.
