Advantages: Cheap prices - Some High Quality products

What Stores Ltd is a store that is in the same vein as other well known discount stores such as Pound Land and the Pound Store.

The store near me in Cardiff was originally located in the city centre but was moved for the new St Davids 2 development and meant that the store had to be move to a new location. The new location of the store can be found on Newport Road, and area about three miles outside of the city centre. Before the store moved to its location I rarely went to the store, but because the store has moved closer to where I live I now visit the store more often. A big advantage this has now brought to the store is park is available right outside the store. What this has meat is that you can now purchase large goods from the store and put them straight into the car to take home. With the city centre store it meant that that you had to carry the large items, which could be difficult if they were bulky to the car park, which could be a fair bit away from the store: or trying to get the bags onto public transport such as a bus, which you could not do if the bus was packed.

It would seem that the main aim of the store is to sell discount items, at the lowest price possible. What this means for the customer is that the majority of the items that are sold within the store are around a £1 or £2.

One complaint that this could be made of the store is the quality of some of the items, as some of them can be quite tatty, and you can see why the products are on sale for only a pound. Although saying this there are some products sold within the store that are brand names, such as food products, as bottles of pop like Coca Cola and Pepsi are sold.

This leads to an important point about the store, in that it does not sell only one kind of products, as the store stocks a wide range of items due to the move to bigger premises. The products sold range from furniture for the house, items for the garden, arts and crafts materials for the children, DIY equipment and materials, food products and stuff for the family pet. This is one of the biggest draw to bring people to the store, as means that you can get most of what you are looking for within the store.

Also to say that all the products within the store are low quality would be wrong, as there are some good quality products that can be brought from the store. One example is a recent purchase from the store was a good quality glass dining room table, which would be more at home being purchased at a higher quality name branded store than a discount store.

In terms of the staff at the store, generally most of the staff are helpful and give you any assistance if need be. Although sometimes it is difficult to distinguish staff at the store and other customers, as staff member wear either blue t-shirts or jackets with tiny logos on.

One complaint that I do have the store though is that is always seems to be untidy, with some stock all over the floor. Which can be off putting for some people, but when you go to such a store, I sort of expected as such. This could just be put down to the fact that the store is much larger than its previous store, meaning that it now takes longer to tidy the store.

Overall I would recommend the store, as the store offers good value for money for products that you do not want to be paying a lot of money for; with a big improvement since the move to bigger premises. Although there is a store within Cardiff, I am not sure if there are any other stores throughout the United Kingdom.
