Advantages: lots of choice
Disadvantages: quite expensive
WH Smith is a well known store that is UK wide. You can find one in most towns and cities. WH Smiths sells a range of products, mainly books, but they also sell a wide range of stationary, newspapers and magazines, games, cards and even soft drinks and snacks such as chocolate and crisps. It is mainly a stationary and book store.
The WH Smith near me is a fairly large one with two floors. The store is well laid out, with stationary, magazines, newspapers, cards, snacks and drinks on the ground floor. Upstairs is mainly books. It is easy to find what you need as it is well laid out and the books are in different sections with a sign above each. I find the prices are quite expensive and you can usually find the same item cheaper if you hunt around or look on the internet.
WH Smith also has an online store where you can order direct from the internet. They often have quite good sales on in both the actual store and online, so it is worth looking around.
When searching for books they have a section for new books and most popular books which is useful, especially if you are buying as a present and unsure what to buy.
I really like the stationary, they have everything you need and lots of choice too. I walk through here quite often and glance at the stationary, but I always end up buying elsewhere as again the prices can be quite high.
I personally don't really shop here, just because I know I can buy the same product for less, however its a good store with all products that you need, and easy to find.
Summary: shop elsewhere for a bargain
