Advantages: Cheeper than most

Disadvantages: a bit daunting for a DIY beginner

The DIY store, Wickes at first appears to be more of a trade DIY store, but when you look around, most of the customers appear to be couples or non tradesmen. I think Wickes market themselves to the customer who knows exactly what they need and are profecciant at DIY.
The store I visit in Warrington is split into two main sections, one comprising a showroom for kitchens, bathrooms and Conservatorys and the other the shop.

Prices are somewhat cheeper than Fads, homebase and B+Q, but similar or slightly dearer than a B+Q Warehouse Store.

They do a huge range of there own branded goods, which are cheeper than the famous brands and often of a similar quality. There are also many items that are priced cheeper for bulk purchases.

The Warrington Branch has 1 customer loo, of average cleanliness.No coffee shop but pleasant staff.
