Advantages: Cheap, good range

Disadvantages: Queues

Wilkinsons is a cheap shop which sells a variety of items, from food and toiletries to DIY items and household goods like plates and so on. They even sell stamps and mobile top-ups. There's one in most towns and cities and my nearest one is at Belle Vale shopping centre in Liverpool.

I have bought loads of different things from Wilkinsons over the years, from basic stuff like cat food to paint and dust sheets. They have all the household names when it comes to tolietries, cleaning products etc but it tends to be up to a pound cheaper per item than in most other stores, like supermarkets. They often have sales/reduced items too.

I've just used their white paint to do my living room and it was just as good as B&Q but cheaper, their dust cheets are better than B&Q and cheaper and they have paint brushes, screws, drill bits etc that are all the same quality as B&Q, but cheaper.

Some of their household goods are actually nice, not just cheap, I've seen some really nice red crockery in there recently.

They have a pretty good range of items and I find it really easy to pop in and find what I need. I've never had any problems with anything I've bought from there.

The only gripe I have is that the queues are often long and there aren't always a lot of staff ont he shop floor. It's also really warm in there, which is a bit much in the winter if you have your coat on!

If you've never been into a Wilkinsons - go now!

Summary: Great shop

Food sections seem to be spreading, much to my disappointment. I don't like every single shop trying to sell every single product, instead of sticking to what they're best at. If I want bread, there are dozens of other places to get it!
