Advantages: Good choice
Disadvantages: Queues
Woolworths is one of those shops that I went into a lot when I was young as it was a great place to spend my pocket money but these days I guess the only time I go in is at Christmas as it is a good place to buy selection boxes and wrapping paper for presents.
I always think of Woolworths as an oasis of all things sweet, I used to like buying from their pck and mix selection, these days their stores still have these and there is loads of choice.
Woolworths would be classed as a genreal retailer I guess, they sell confectionary, stationary, music and films as well as lots of useful stuff for the home. They also have quite a big selection of toys and games in the one in Milton Keynes which is in the main shopping area and split over two floors. There is lots of choice and generally they are really good on price.
I do find it sometmes hard to find staff on the shop floor and you can queue for quite a long time as they tend to have banks of tills and one of those zig zag queuing systems in operation.
Overall Woolworths still has something to offer and can be found on most high streets and in shopping centres.
Summary: General retailer.
