Woolworths - Good variety but can be cheaper elsewhere (Woolworths)

Advantages: Good selection of items for sale, good offers around christmas time

Disadvantages: Some pricey items, can wait around when queing for the checkout

This shop has a mixed variety of items that they sell and these include kitchen items, bedding, cleaning products, kids and adults clothing, baby equipment, garden furniture but i think they are most popular for their selection of toys, sweets, cd's, dvds, and games for consoles such as xbox 360, playstation 3 and nintendo ds. When it comes to different seasons of the year they do have a good variety of christmas trees, lighting, decorations, present wrap and cards. In the summer time they do have a decent range of outdoor toys, and garden equipment.

The range of products they sell have increased over the years. But saying this products like console games can be found cheaper elsewhere. They do have a range of value items especially in their home, bedding and kitchen ranges. They do normally have a large range of 3 for 2 offers leading up to christmas in several departments and i have found this really handy considering i have a large family to buy for. Also if you are a late christmas shopper i have know them to start their 50% off sale a week or so before christmas. I have generally used their sale bits for the following christmas though.

The layout of the store that i have near my is pretty well designed giving enough space around the isles. The staff are helpful and polite whenever i've needed their help. The opening hours are resonsable as well especially if you want to go shopping in the evening. They don't seem to have many checkout tills though which if i do go shopping there at the weekends can be a bit annoying waiting around.

Summary: A generally good shop especially just before christmas
