Advantages: None now

Disadvantages: Poor quality

I heard last week Woolworths are going into administration. Woolworths have been a big name on the High St for years. It seems all the big old names are losing business due to the new upcoming shops, like Wilkinsons.

Woolworths have lost their way over the years, they got stuck in a rut, and didn't think of new ways to fight off the competition. Wollworths haven't really done much to their stores over the years, they have left it all has it was years ago, and expected customers to just keep coming back.

I would like to say i was shocked to hear about the news, but i wasn't. I popped into Woolies a couple of months ago, and i was shocked to see the poor quality of some of their gifts. I have always known Woolworths to sell good quality products, but it was just going downhill.

I have been shopping at woolies ever since i was a little girl. I rememer it like yesterday going in and buying my big bag of pick and mix, i really don't know what i'm going to do without my weekly fix of woolies pick n mix.

Woolworths doesn't just offer sweeties, they sell a wide range of electrical, home, toys, CDs/DVDS, kids clothes, stationary, gifts, books, and much more.

My local Woolworths is big, and has always attracted alot of customers. The store is always busy, and the design of it makes it very easy to find what your looking for. However, i have been in stores where everything is literally everywhere, and finding what your looking for was very difficult.

Since Woolworths went into Administration, they have been selling off a load of their stock, some upto 50% off. I popped in yesterday, and because the offers were so good, the line was massive.

I will be very sad to see Woolworths leave my local High Street, its a big part of the town, but i'm sure another shop will come along exactly like Woolworths.

Summary: Bye woolies, sorry to see you go!!

It was a shame, but they had a really vague mix of stuff with no real specialities.

I am suprised they lasted so long. Sad to see them go and I feel sorry for the staff made redundant especially those who got no redundancy pay in the Channel Islands. They still have Woolworths in Germany though.

My local Woolies only opened their brand new store at the end of October this year - and now it's going! I feel so sorry for all its staff who must have been delighted to get their jobs.
