Advantages: Price, Range, Locations
Disadvantages: Some stores are a bit disorganised, Quality isn't always great, Online shopping is poor
Woolworths appear to be a little low-profile at the moment, profits are down quite a bit and they have recently separated off from the main Kingfisher group. However, I still think they have much to commend them; -Prices Much of what you find in Woolworths is greatly cheaper than what you would find elsewhere. Particularly, their household offers are sometimes pretty stunning. Music and video-wise, Woolworths is cheaper than most on the high street, however sometimes they are beaten by Smiths. -Range They sell almost everything! At Christmas, for that Bank Holiday DIY, the day before someone's birthday, they are the essential place to go. How many times have they saved me... In our town, 'Woolwoths Local' is the one-stop-shop for everything, and it's great that a big chain keeps its little stores open. -Location As said, there are loads of them, just where you need them. -Quality Usually, great. -Online I'm afraid I wouldn't rate their online shopping very highly, but it is a competent start for the shopping giant... OVERALL Woolworths is part of life, and would be sadly missed if it ever disappeared. They offer great range, prices and quality, just where you need it. British Woolworths make a nice contrast to some of the European ones, for example, Woolworths Germany, generally look as if the store has just been raided by a group of zoo animals...
