This store has improved a lot since the sixties. It now sells many of the items you would expect in any high street store, but still retains some of it's own brands. In the DIY section you can still buy Woolworth's paint. This is not bad actually, except

the choice of colours is not great. If you are buying records, then check out Woolworth's first. It is often the cheapest in the high street.

Check out the toys, just after Christmas, they are almost always half price. It's also sells lots of sweets if you are into that sort of thing. If you are sad and like to buy Christmas cards 12 months ahead, there plenty in the January sales.

The real bargins are? Well there arn't any really, but nothing is expensive.
