Advantages: Cutting, Design, Quality, Availability
Disadvantages: Scary staff, could be cheaper
I've been going to Zara ever since I was a wee ten year old and I can't say I've looked back.
Zara's clothes are well designed and fashionable (except for occasional blips in trends e.g. floral).
Some clothes are simplistic and attractive, which I dig. The main Zara sections have clothes that are work-safe. TRF, a slightly younger sect has clothes with a bit more flare. The children's clothes are adorable and occasionally I can pick out a scarf or something from there.
The great thing I love about Zara's clothing is the quality. The cutting usually fits well on my shape and the clothes are made out of good materials. None of my Zara clothes have fallen apart and they don't feel like they're about to.
I used to live in Asia, where the Zara staff were much more friendly. (Asian staff I would rank chirpier than British staff in general) The staff here in the UK however seem to have just slipped out of their goth and emo outfits and downed the eye make up.... slightly. When I want to try things on they cast me murderous looks and I feel lik I ought to apologize, or something!
I would wish Zara clothes were cheaper, because as much as they are reasonable I always want cheaper stuff. I love it when they have sales and discounts, though. Then everything becomes super-affordable. The prices plunge more dramatically than most on sale and if you find something your size (somehow the middle sizes are usually still there) you walk away beaming like a smart consumer.
Summary: One of my favourite high street stores with lots to offer!
