Polaris Scrambler 500:
... restrictor can be removed from the fuel manifold if your are half-skilled with a few tools. Unrestricted its a different bike, very responsive and torquey for its size - its doesnt dissapoint. Top speed on the road for me is 65 MPH.
Fuel - bit of a fuel eater !!!! plan your rides well and it should be ok.
My only real gripe is the braking system. EU law means that the foot pedal has to be the primary braking syst... Read the full review: Great Experiance to ride ! by catmandoes |

Polaris Scrambler 500 ... like the quad ok. It has decent power. The single brake lever system works much better than I expected. The awd system is awsome. Power is pretty good. Rear suspension is ok. There are a few things I hate. Heavy! Chain drive in the rear, hate it. Brake lever to close to the handlebars, must use all your fingers or they will get smashed, no two finger braking here and lever not replacable with anything else. Hard to work on. Front suspension is a little harsh.... Read the full review: 2006 polaris scrambler 500 by Mike |

Polaris Sportsman 500 ... with the durability of the design. I do have a problem with water collecting in the recoil case which rusts the starter despite having the recoil firmly over the opening for the rope. This ATV is the only one with a nice high light which is great when you are plowing snow. All the others have them low and thus you can't see when the plow is elevated. The body is durable as can be. I know, I have rolled it a couple of times. It is a heavy machine however and difficult to get off your body when it lands on you. The ride is awsome, especially for me as a paraplegic in need of a more tame ride. A solid axle ride will kill me. I have done rides of 200 plus miles and ...
