I was visiting one of my regular patients over the Easter period and saw a lovely card next to her bedside which was filled with the most beautiful selection of flowers. I had never come across such an unusual flower arrangement before which was so different to the usual bunch of standard flowers. I asked her where she had received the item from and she told me that her daughter had sent it to her. I asked if I could have a look at the back of it as I realised that it would be a lovely gift to send to my mother in law for her birthday. It stated that it had come from www.flowercard.co.uk needless to say I visited the website when I got home from work that evening and I was very pleasantly surprised at the range available.

www.flowercard.co.uk is a company which is based in Guernsey in the Channel Islands and has been established for 10 years. They have attended Chelsea and Hampton Court flower shows and have collected several awards which in my opinion are a credit to the products that they sell which are unique and unusual and so different to the normal run of the mill flower retailer's products already available on the market.

When I first logged on to the website I was very surprised at the product range that was available. There is a lovely photograph of a flower card arrangement on the homepage which is a wonderful example of the large selection on offer here and the quality of the products sold. The drop down menu is helpful in narrowing the selection down to specific occasions for example Birthdays, Wedding Anniversaries, Births, Weddings. By sentiment Get Well, Thank You, Thinking of You, With Love, and Sorry. There is also a personalised selection and a menu featuring their bestselling products. I would suggest logging on and having a look at this website as there is so much to choose from and in my opinion something for everyone.

I was shopping for a birthday arrangement so I accessed this particular section and was greeted with a super collection to choose from. After thoroughly looking at everything on offer I settled on a pretty arrangement called "Reflections". This contained a stunning array of spray carnations, chrysanthemums, and a unique reflective card interior which shows off the arrangement. It also comes supplied with a keepsake box decorated with roses in a heart shape. This was quite pricey at £29.95 in relation to some of the other products on offer on the site however the unique nature of the product more than made up for this. Cards are available from £9.95 for single flowers with the mid price for smaller arrangements at £19.95.

Ordering from this site is a completely painless experience you can either enter a product code if you know it or peruse online and choose the desired item. You then click on the product and follow the instructions below your selection. You enter the recipient's details with the desired personal message. It is vital that the spelling of this message is perfect as this will be printed exactly as it is written. Then click that you accept the terms and conditions. After which you can then select a delivery date. You then get the opportunity to check that the details that you have entered are correct and click buy. This takes you onto the next screen where you will review your details and proceed to checkout. This is the point where you put in your own address details and credit card details. The site uses World Pay part of the Bank of Scotland group which I have used in the past and which is a secure payment site in my opinion as I have never had any problems with it in the past.

I couldn't see any guaranteed delivery date on this site and unfortunately I don't think that they do this however items normally take a day to process the order and 1-2 days to be received after this time. In addition they will deliver to selected countries out with the UK however you will need to call their customer care line to find out locations. Delivery is included in the price of your order which is a refreshing change however you will need to check for overseas delivery prices.

My mother in law received her card which was delivered in perfect condition three days after I ordered it and in perfect condition and in time for her birthday. It arrived in an outer box with the presentation box and the flower card inside. She was absolutely delighted and phoned me literally two minutes after receipt expressing her delight with her gift. I thought it looked wonderful with the personalised message on the front. I will certainly be using this company in the future for a slightly different gift.

There are product brochures available; I have ordered a few of these which show the entire range available from this company. You just simply log onto the site and provide your name and address and the number of copies that you wish to be sent out. I will be leaving these around the house eternally hopeful that my husband will get the hint!!!!

Overall a great idea for a gift with the added bonus of free delivery. Recommended to all and a five star rating. Oh and I nearly forgot to mention there is a video which shows you how your item will be packed for posting.
