Orange Wednesday is a service from the Orange mobile network. You text for a code and it gives you buy one get one free at a local cinema on any film on a Wednesday. As a service, it can save you a lot of money, but it's not without its drawbacks.

For a start, you have to go in a pair, and therefore you don't actually get your own ticket any cheaper. Of course, you can persuade your partner to split the cost with you, but if that doesn't happen it has ended up costing you what any ticket would anyway.

Secondly, everyone does them, so the cinema will be guaranteed to be rammed on a Wednesday.

The best thing about them is the way that you can use them in a couple, and then you do save money. Remember, you have to pay the price of a text for it though!

All in all, an excellent service if there were going to be two of you going to the cinema anyway, but if you planned on going on your own you won't save anything!
