Advantages: Personalised, no templates used, cheap!

Disadvantages: None!!!

Santaletters.piczo.com is run by a mother of 5 (4 grown up women with children of their own, and one young son who is still in High School). She has 9 grandchildren, and knows how children work and think. After bringing up 5 children, all of whom wrote Santa letters, giving him a list of what presents they want, and thanking him for the previous years gifts. She decided to make these Santa Letters.

If you want one of these letters, order early, as last year there were hundreds of orders, and although nobody is turned away for business, if you get your order in early your ensured your letters!

Cost:
Each letter costs £3.25 (including postage), and each letter includes a personalised letter, which is individual, no templates are used, meaning that every letter is different, and personal to your child (this means if you have 4 children, you will receive 4 different letters), also with the letter and personalised envelope, you get a packet of reindeer food, and personalised Christmas Style chocolate bar. Letters are sent out during the first week of December via 2nd class post, so you will receive them before Christmas day! You can have them sent earlier if you wish, but you have to specify this when putting in your order. Letters will be sent all over the World, with an extra £1.50 cost (due to the extra cost of postage!) and orders must be put in earlier (preferably around October time) to ensure letters will arrive on time!

The Letters Themselves:
When ordering your letters, you will fill in a simple to use form on the website, here you will be asked the childs name, age, and sex (this is important as letters for young children will be much different than letters to older children). You will also need to give the childs address (where they live normally and where they will be sleeping on Christmas eve) inc post code, as in the letter Father Christmas will tell the child the route they will take to their house! You will also be asked about siblings, pets other members of the family, additional details which may be important to you (i.e. if Grandad died the year before and they've had a sad year etc, if the child is ill and may be spending Christmas in hospital anything like this can be added to the letters). The colour of your front door, the presents which the child has asked for (it's a good idea to get the child to write a letter to santa first so you can get a good idea of what the child wants to say!), and also Christmas traditions the child has, along with where the gifts are left on Christmas morning.

You can put in as much or as little detail as you like, but the more detail you give, the more personal the letter will be.

Letters can be sent to Young children (special First Christmas letters are given to babies who are celebrating their first Christmas), right through the age specrtum, up to teenagers. Letters can also be made for adults too if you wish, I got one for my husband last year who is 22, and you can have them serious, cute, or comical (just specify in the additional comments section on the form!).

As I briefly mentioned earlier, the letters are all personal and no templates are used. You may find some "santa letters" on Ebay and the likes coming up to Christmas but many of them use templates and are not personal to the child, and the people who make them simply imput the childs details into a pre-written letter. With these SantaLetters from piczo, each letter is individually written, and alot of time is spent on each letter ensuring that each letter in completely unique.

The letters will outline the route santa will take to get to their house, specifying certain landmarks which they will pass by, and even which other houses they will pass on their way (if you live next to a pub santa may say he'll stop for a quick whisky in The Bulls Head for example).

You can also have a Digital Letter sent, these cost just £1.50 (25p of which goes to Children in Need), as no postage is needed, the letter and personalised envelope is delivered to your email address, and you can print this off at your leisure, this is a good idea if you want to sent vouchers or cash to people "off santa" and also you can be ensured the letters won't be lost in the heavy christmas post if your late ordering your letters. If you order your letter in late December you will more than likely be offered this service rather than the posted letter, to ensure your letter comes on time. If you are doing this, mention it in the order form, and if you are planning on adding anything to the letter when you get it (money or vouchers) mention this too so that it can be mentioned in the letter!

The company is family run, and is in it's 7th year of helping Santa! The company is well established and is excellently run. Some of the notes of thanks on the website are:

"Dear oldchem,

Hi, Wanted to let you know we recieved Tianna's Santa letter the other day. Its lovely. Full of family detail - and geographical detail as well. You did some research on what roads lead to ours. That was surprising and fun. Thank you for that. My son got a real kick out of it. We will put the letter away in Tianna's keepsake box for her to have always. Thanks again.

~ Tessa (Tianna's grandma)"

"the letter arrived today and my little girl is thrilled, convinced it must be from the real Santa as he knows so much about her. As she is on Santa's list of good girls I am using it as a reminder to stay well behaved! She read the whole letter to her Aunty tonight and is taking to school with her tomorrow to show her friends that Santa knows all about them too.

THANKYOU FOR MAKING ONE LITTLE GIRL VERY HAPPY

ALL THE BEST TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY

JACKIE"

"Many thanks for keeping the 'magic' alive for my two. They received their letters this week and were absolutely stunned that Santa had written to them, and knew so much about them and their lives. My son (age 9) was just on the edge of not believing in Santa (along with most of his class mates), but this has renewed his faith in the Magic of Christmas, and that lovely time of childhood awe and innocence can be his for a little longer.
Once again, thanks for all your hard work, and wishing you and your family a very Happy Christmas and New Year."

As I said earlier, please get your orders in asap, as all letters are sent out during the first week of December (earlier if specified). As each letter is personally researched and desgined, they take time and effort, so the earlier you get your orders in the quicker you will get your letters!!

At the small price of £3.25, they are an excellent personal touch to christmas! They are excellent for children who may be starting to doubt Santa as they really keep the magic of Christmas alive, they can only come from the "real Santa" with all the personal details which are included.
They are the best Santa Letters I have ever seen, and they would be very difficult to be beaten! All of the others I have seen do not come close, these letters are personal and alot of time is taken with each order. They can be personlised to anybodys specifications, and there are no limits to what can be included.

The perfect Santa Letter! Get your orders in!

Summary: Amazing Santa letters for all the family! Perfect addition to December in all households!

I used to have the letters from the place your talking about, I used to always send a letter to Santa and get one of those back. but unlike those, these santa letters are personally written, the ones I used to get from the place your talking about were just templates which were sent to everyone, only the name was changed. And there were many years when I didn't get a santa letter back from them, and one year, my letter came after christmas. Of course you dont expect anything for free. But with these letters your getting something personal and guarenteed :) x

The real Santa must be very grateful someone like this is taking the workload off him. Incidentally, while I was a Post Office sorter, we used to forward all letters to Santa to a base in Edinburgh where, whether a stamp was used or not, replies from Santa would be issued directly to the child (as long as there was a full correspondence address).
