Advantages: easy to use, great selection of DVD's.
Disadvantages: can't always get teh DVD's you want.
I love tescodvdrental.com. It's an easy and cheap way to rent DVD's that you want to see. Of course like most internet sites it has its downsides which I'll get onto later on but first I'll explain more about tescodvdrental.com
What is tescodvdrental.com?
With over 56,000 titles to choose from tescodvdrental.com is the perfect site to get the DVD's/Games you want and ones you never even heard of before.
Depending on the package you have you can rent out 1,2 or even 3 DVD's/Games at a time... with no late fees at all.
Perfect!.

Existing Members
All you have to do is pick the subscription you want, and specify the date you want the voucher sent. Tescodvdrental.com will wait and then send the voucher on the correct day.
The item is delivered by email so make sure you've got the correct email address.
Non-existing members
You don't have to set up an account if you don't want to but they'll ask for some basic details to set up an inactive account. Like the existing members choose the package you want and let them know when to email the person the voucher.
Blu-ray & HD DVD disks
These are used to cram more data onto each disk, so you'll get more information on these than you would on normal DVD disks.
However you must have a special DVD player that plays back Blu-ray and HD DVD disks.
If you have a playstation 3 this is Blu-ray compatible so you are able to watch the blu-ray disks on the ps3, but with the HD DVD you must have a HD DVD player to be able to watch these. Most of the modern DVD's on tescodvdrental.com have a blu-ray/HD alternative.

Rental Queue
This is where you keep your selection of DVD's. It shows you all of the ones you have ready and waiting and the one that you have got at the moment.
DVD's you have at home
This bit tells you the title of the DVD you have at home, when it was sent out and gives you some links just in case there's a problem after the DVD has been dispatched at either end.
Rental Queue Key
This is just a small key. This tells you about the rental queue. If you want your item to be first priority, you change it to high. If you're not too bothered change it to low.
Then there's two little barbecue like symbols. The orange one means that they'll be a short wait for the item to come out and the red one means that it's a very popular DVD and it might be a long wait for it to get to you.
The Rental Queue
This is probably the most important part of the rental queue page.
Title Platform/Media Certificate High Medium Low Remove
Those are the titles of the rental queue list. In the title section you will have the list of DVD's that you have got ready to rent out, next to that in the platform/media section it'll tell you if it's a DVD or game etc and then beside that you have the cert of the DVD.
The High, Medium, Low & remove bit is your slight way of controlling the rental queue. One of the problems with tescodvdrental.com is that you don't always get the DVD you want... even if the item is high priority you might not get this because it's so popular. It's annoying but there are ways around it which I'll explain later.
If you want the item to be first priority, click high and then underneath your list you will have an 'update selection' button. Click here and your DVD will now be on top and tescodvdrental.com will attempt to send that one out first.
Unavailable/Not Yet Released Disks
When a movie is released at the cinema tescodvdrental.com put it into their database with the release date. You are then able to put the DVD in reserve which means as soon as it's released it'll go into your rental queue.
Instead of the High, Medium & low selection you have the release date of the DVD. Some of the DVD's have no release date so it'll say not yet confirmed.
You can also see more up-coming DVD's by clicking on the link at the top of the unavailable/not yet released section. This will give you a list of the DVD's that have not yet to be released.
RENTED/QUEUED
At the top of the page it will give you two links. Queued or Rented. If you click on quued it'll give you the list above, if you click on rented it will give you another page. Here it shows you what you have out at the moment, and what DVD's you have rented before.
Tescodvdrental.com like you to give their DVD's a rate so other people can see if they're any good, so the ones you haven't rated will be on the page, but you can also see every other DVD you have rented before.
Like I said we've had this for three years around about and have rented 178 DVD's, and if my math's is correct that's about 5 disks per month or so.
It's nice to see what DVD's you've watched in the past. Our first ever DVD for my mum of course as I'm not allowed to watch it, was 'Kill Bill: Volume 1' and our latest one was 'The Simpson's Movie'.

Hotlists
These are the things that most people use. In the hotlists you can find all of the new DVD's out, DVD's in the cinema and ones that are about to come out soon.
The Hotlists are as follows:
Recommendations: This is a list of their recommendations. Of course. It's mainly just ones that don't go as well or classics. The top four on there at the moment are: Poseidon, Cold Mountain, Miami vice & Simply Irresistible. A good mix of DVD's there and I'm sure you'll find one in there that you'll like the look of.
New Releases: Pretty self explanatory if I say so myself. It's all the DVD's that have come out in the past month or two. The top four are: Death Sentence, Shoot 'Em Up, Sicko & Weeds Season 2. None there that I'd actually watch myself but there's a huge list on there of DVD's that have come out in December and January.
Coming Soon: Pretty self explanatory again, but this one's a bit weird in my opinion. One of the DVD's that is 'coming soon' was made in 2003. The top four are: Death Proof, Ghosts Of Cite Solei, In The Hands of the gods & Land of the blind. Three of them came out in 2007 and only the first one was made/released at the cinema last year.
In Cinema's Now: This is where I tend to fill up my Unavailable list. After watching films like P.S. I Love you and I Am Legend I have already put them in my unavailable list so the rest of my family can watch them. I think this is a good selection but sometimes some of them are not available... when we first watched Stardust it took until about November for tescodvdrental.com to have it in the 'in cinema's now' list.
Top Rated- When you rate a film after watching it, it does matter. The top rated films are all put into this list for other people to have easy access to.
Most Popular- These are the ones that have been rented the most. It doesn't matter if they are crap films, as long as they have been rented out a lot they are in this list.
All Time favorites: Self Explanatory again, here you find the classics. The top four in the list are: Hot Fuzz, Crash, Inside Man & Walk the Line. I wouldn't really call those 'classics' but they're still great films and favorites among tescodvdrental.com.
Divided Opinions: Not sure what this means but the top four on the list are: Saawariya, Best Of Youth, Lazytown, Paris Is Burning. I think these are ones that maybe only some people might enjoy as I've never heard of any of them.
Genres
If you are a horror buff this is an easy way to browse through your favorite horror films, same if you enjoy thrillers or Indian cinema. It's simple and easy. Here's the list.

Each different category gives you even more sub-categories. If you want to search through them easily choose Browse All but if you like Romantic Comedies, click on Romance and it'll give you another sub-heading where you can choose Comedy.
Games
There's a great list of games now on tescodvdrental.com. They have most games from consoles such as game cube to Nintendo Wii.
Game Cube
PS2
PS3
PSP
Wii
Xbox
Xbox 360
Like the genre of DVD's each of the games has a sub category which makes it much easier for you to search for your favorite game.
Hi-Def
Here's your list of HD DVD's and Blu-Ray DVD's. All of them are listed in this selection.
Help Section
Like I said before, tescodvdrental.com is great for helping with problems. They've got a great FAQ section which tells you most of the problems and how to resolve them but if not they have ways for you to get in contact with them as shown earlier.
In the Help Section you have many things links for them to help you including:
Help- Here's your FAQ questions. They answer most of the problems including billing and lost DVD's etc.
Contact Us- If the FAQ fails, you can contact tescodvdrental.com by using this link.
Learn More- This pretty much tells you everything about tescodvdrental.com including the packages and information about it.
Delivery Information- This tells you questions like 'if you have to sign for the disks' and 'is it sent first class' etc.
Privacy & Security Information- The privacy policy is great... by the looks of things no one's information could ever get out. Unless they do what the government did, twits.
My Account
Here they tell you everything about your account, from your personal details to your subscription details. If you need to know anything it's in your account section.

Disadvantages of using tescodvdrental.com.
- Even if you put a DVD on high priority you probably won't get it.

Anything Else
I think tescodvdrental.com is fantastic, and we will definitely be with it for a few more years. Until I move out at least.
I would recommend it to anyone.
Oh and for some help, if you want a SPECIFIC DVD, once you have sent off your last DVD, remove the DVD you want from your selection. Go searching for the DVD again and rent it... 8 times out of 10 it works. Might just be me, my magic touch. We wanted The Simpson's for Christmas for my sister and as a mate of ours had told us it was crap, we decided to rent it instead. I used my magic and it came on the Saturday.
Hope you now go and register... it's well worth it. The links below.

Hope you enjoyed the review... it took me a LONG time to write.
