I ordered my new car, a Ford Mondeo 2.0 TD Ghia, from Virgin cars just before christmas.

The price of the car is probably the best price from any import dealer, you get a three year warranty and a years roadside assistance, the same offer as any UK FORD Dealer will offer but saving a massive 26% off the price.

I was quoted 19 weeks from after the cooling off period that every potential buyer has when ordering on the internet or telephone. This would then be 19 weeks from 26 December 2000 give or take a day because of the Bank Holidays! So the expected date of arrival of the new car is 7 May 2001 quite a long wait but then again quite a large saving!

Last week I received an email from Virgin Cars letting me know that the car will be leaving the factory for the european dealer in the next 2 weeks and that I should receive the car within 4 weeks if all goes according to plan (payment received on time etc. etc.)

I look forward to getting my new car and if all goes according to plan I will be getting it earlier than the quoted 19 weeks, about 3 to 4 weeks earlier!

I shall update the opinion when I get the car.
