Advantages: has rare and out of print books

Disadvantages: delivery can be a long time

I have used abebooks several times and have not been disappointed so far. Abebooks is a great place to find rare or out of print books that are not sold elsewhere.

I mainly use it to order books published in america that I cannot get in UK or that are significantly cheaper when ordered from here. However i would recommend to watch out for shipping charges as they can be rather expensive, I ordered a set of books when postage was £13 something and a similar sized item could be bought off amazon or another site at a much lower postage charge.

Books can often take a while to arrive however i cannot complain about this as the estimates they give for delivery date are pretty accurate so you are forewarned of this.

I would recommend abebooks as it is a good place to find new authors and old classics alike. It has something for everyone and should not disappoint.
